The Beady Bunch
The Beady Bunch, the Omaha club for beadworkers, meets the 4th
Tuesday of each month at St. Andrew's Church on the NE corner of 84th and Pacific. Meetings are preceded by a bead bazaar beginning at 6:30, where members may offer items for sale. The meeting includes a business discussion at 7:00 followed by a project led by the members from 7:00 to 9:00. Projects include all kinds of beadwork, focusing on using seed beads. learn the art of beadwork in its many forms and share the beading
experience with like-minded folks.
The Hot Shops Flameworkers:
Meet the first and third Wednesdays each month at 7-9pm at The Hot Shops Art Center, 13th and Izard, Omaha, Nebraska. Midwest Lampworkers Guild
Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 PM at Papillion High School, 84th & Cary in Papillion. Park on the North side of the school. (Summer meetings are held at alternate locations.)
Meetings are preceded by an open torch time beginning at 6 and a merchant time beginning at 6:30. Meetings include a business discussion followed by a project led by the members or outside guests. Projects focus on making glass beads with a torch and related topics. Dues are $10 per calendar year. Contact person: Margie Shanahan 331-7334.
Master Beaders
Meets the last Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at Risen Son Retirement Center on Highway 92 -- 1/2 mile East of Highway 2275, couth of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Members have sales tables before the meetings. Meetings include a business discussion foloowed by a project led by the members. Project involve all kinds of beadwork, focusing on bead stringing. JEWELRY CONNECTION
Periodic hands-on workshops in jewelry making with silver
and other precious metals. Taught by Judith Bay and Jayne Beer, the
8-week class includes making a bracelet, a ring, a stone bevel and other
projects of the student's choice. For more information, contact the
