Applications and Approvals

Apr-2002 - There is an approvals website for the region. It is in OPEN BETA, so please send any comments to the developers on problems or additions.

This interim database is more distributed; players can setup their own accounts; A DST can setup CST's in their domain, etc. However, it is more difficult to do some centralized items; copying existing pending applications appears to be difficult.

At this point in time, this approvals website will not be the WSIP list for the region; I am holding off for the replacement approvals database.

The approvals website is a way for the player to submit the application and the storytellers to review, add comments, approve or deny up and down the chain. The largest benefit is that by using the approvals website, it is clear exactly where an application is and what and how it is waiting on. The downside is that it requires web access - however, free web access is easy to get today, even from a public library. Even in those cases, the CST frequently has web access and can enter the application for the player. See Approvals at a Glance for help on determining what needs approval.

Regional approval-related policies:
1. All Mid Level approvals for members of solitary chapters need to be on the approvals website.

2. All Mid Level approvals for DST's (which are therefore handled by the RST) need to be on the approvals website.

3. All High and Top Level approvals for members of this region need to be on the approvals website. This policy is suspended while using the interim database.
