Tractor Restoration Contest

      The North Central FFA Chapter participated in a tractor restoration contest.  The mechanics classes completely restored an SC Case.  The tractor was finished in August of 2000, just in time for the deadline for the Amoco Tractor Restoration for the FFA. 

   When the classes started to restore the tractor nearly two years ago, there were quite a few setbacks.  The tractor, when obtained by the FFA, was missing several parts in addition to the ones needing repaired or replaced.  Because the SC Case is a rare tractor, finding parts was not an easy task.  The chapter called all over the country trying to find parts.  We even ordered the tires that were manufactured in South America.  But, after all the repairs and its new shiny coat of paint, this tractor is ready for the showroom.
