The North Central FFA Chapter meets every two weeks to discuss activities and future events.

The secretary, DeeAnna Snider, records the minutes of each meeting and prepares the agenda.

Meetings are conducted using proper parliamentary law at all times.

 Meeting Date: December 13, 2001 Number Present: Members 13 Guests 1

The meeting of the North Central FFA Chapter was called to order by Frank Frame, chapter Vice-president, at 7:30 P.M. in the Agricultural Education classroom.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Tracie Thorp, chapter secretary.  Jeff Willson moved to accept the minutes as read.  Lizzy Towers seconded the motion.  The motion passed.

Officer Reports

Reporter Ben Montague reported that there was an article printed in the Bryan Times about dairy contest and national convention.

Special Announcements

It was announced that so far we have collected about $350 so far from our fundraiser.

Anyone wishing to attend Made For Excellence in January, please see Mr. Raubenolt as soon as possible.  We will attend the later one in January.

Committee Reports

King & Queen Contest Committee-Lizzy Towers

New Business

Lizzy Towers moved to have a Lasagna Dinner before a home basketball game.  Jeff Willson seconded the motion.  Lizzy Towers moved to refer this matter to a committee to be determined at a later date.  Ben Montague seconded the motion.  The motion passed.

Tracie Thorp moved to have our banquet in the cafeteria.  Ben Montague seconded the motion.  Tracie Thorp moved to amend the motion by inserting the words “at 6:30” Trevor Kunkle seconded the amendment.  The amendment passed.  The motion as amended passed.

Jeff Willson moved to have FFA Basketball tournaments.  Alicia Pavka seconded the motion.  Lizzy Towers moved to postpone this motion definitely until our next general business meeting.  Deanna Snider seconded the motion.  Motion passed.

Lizzy Towers moved to participate in FFA Week activities this year.  Jason Sliwinski seconded the motion.  Tracie Thorp moved to refer this to a committee to be set at a later date.  Lizzy Towers seconded the motion.  The motion passed.

Tracie Thorp moved to have a King  & Queen dance for the crowning of the King & Queen.  Deanna Snider seconded the motion.  Tracie Thorp moved to refer this to the King & Queen Election committee.  Ben Montague seconded the motion.  The motion passed.

Tracie Thorp moved to hold King & Queen nominations at this time.  Ben Montague seconded the motion.  The motion passed.  King candidates include Kyle McClellan, Ben Montague, and Ted Dickinson.  Queen candidates include Alicia Pavka, Kerrie Hutchison, and Deanna Snider.

Ben Montague moved to adjourn the meeting.  Jason Sliwinski seconded the motion.  The motion passed.  Closing Ceremonies were conducted.
