Reginald McNeill, Director of YouthBuild

Reginald McNeill has been the Director of YouthBuild since May 2000.  As Director, his duties include overseeing the day to day operations of the program. He builds and maintains working relationships with YouthBuild partners, such as the High Point Housing Authority, Guilford Technical Community College, and other city and federal agencies that are vital to the success of YouthBuild. He directs and manages program recruitment/outreach efforts and oversees the budget.  He meets with YouthBuild trainees at regular intervals, assessing their job and career goals.  He also makes sure that the classroom is equipped with the appropriate supplies and that construction site is safe, also equipped with the appropriate supplies.

Mr. McNeill loves his job and says that the most rewarding aspect of his job is working with young people who haven't had much success in life and assisting them with accomplishing academic success and skill building. Also, he enjoys seeing young people who have never used or picked up a hammer build a house in 12 months for a deserving low income family.  Mr. McNeill is a positive influence to YouthBuild students.
