Comment: Claytie was one of the flight engineers on the Flying Tiger Line plane
that went down Mar 15 1962. He graduate with me from Concord High School -
Concord Massachusetts in 1949. He went to airplane mechanics school and
subsequently to flight engineering school, worked for a major airline and
eventually took a job with Flying Tiger. I believe his widow still lives
in Acton, Mass.

I just saw your tribute page -- it's very nice and I'll tell my other
classmates about it -- we still (those of us who are still around) meet
about once a year for breakfast in Concord.

in Okinowa at the time and was told the radar showed an unidentified plane
and everyone shifted to the threat. When it disappeared, so had Flt 739.
