In 1930, the family was enumerated in Haw River. In 1950, Mimi and Grandpa were living in Mebane. They had moved back to Haw River by 1960 into a new house that Grandpa had built. The house was on NC highway 49 north of Haw River just south of where her sister Fannie and brother-in-law Timothy lived on the farm.

Neither Fannie or Timothy had any children from either marriage. Fannie and Timothy lived on her farm after their marriage. This farm was on NC Highway 49 just north of Haw River. She was buried beside John at Long's Chapel Church north of where they lived. Timothy was buried beside his first wife, Roberta, at Friendship United Methodist Church.
