3" Levelscope
Stans atm page
Focuser page
Tube page This is my first attempt at a guidescope.
I wanted to make a very light scope
to sit on my c-8 for autoguiding so I scrounged through my treasures and came up with this.
It needs a little paint, But this is it with its cardboard cover installed.
The diagonal holder is simply a 1/2x1/2x1" rectangle of aluminum with a 45degree angle cut into it.
You can see the quikcam on the left.
The secondary and the ccd camera are mounted together on a slide that slides to and away from the primary
I never liked this level anyway
The primary cell is a 1/2"piece of plexy.
The cell is held to the mirror with 3 blobs of silicone.
3 screws with springs provide mirror ajustment.
Hopefully This will guide my  Celestron 8"
scope for taking pictures.
The heart of the system will be my
Scrappy-
Mount
powered by Mells excelent stepper circuit, guided by the Quickam Autoguider
that I got from
Marty Neimi.
This pic shows  the slide parts and the secondary holder
This is how I put the slide through the side of the level.
