These part of the site will contain links to sites that list native music, or to native sites from (or about) the artists themselves.
- LaRea Wiley: This is the official website for Larea (colville). She's going at this music thing independantly and describes her style of music as mellow jazz/folk/Native stuff. This multitalented gal plays the cedar flute, harmonica, and keyboard. Her site is going to be updated soon, so check out her site now, and keep an eye on it for any new info to be added.
- Canadian Aboriginal Festival: This includes a pow-wow, music awards show, Art displays, and much more. It's going to be held the 23rd through the 26th of November, 2000, at the Toronto Skydome. I don't know what's all expected here, but I am putting up the link to the site.
- Jana: This is the official site for Jana. She's a native pop singer who was nominated for a NAMMY this year. I don't think she got it? On this site she sells various things she's made, and has some info on herself.
- Jim Boyd's Official Site: Colville that has finally put up his own site. Kind of a folk/rock kind of style, and has been doing his thing for awhile now. He's just starting to get some recognition for his efforts.
- DrumGroups.com: A site for drummers, by a drummer. Or something like that anyway. So far, this is basically a list of drumgroups divided into northern and southern groups. It's supposed to have mp3's available and more info in individual groups as the site grows.
- Thunderbird Sisters: The official site for thunderbird sisters. They are a Native Amerian musical group from the Shinnecock Reservation on Long Island New York. They have some real audio samples to hear, a photo album, bio, and info on how to book them for an appearance.
- Arigon Starr: This is a site for arigon starr. It looks to be pretty lighthearted in content. I sent in a link to this site, in hopes to be linked through them, and they accepted. Something unexpected. Here you'll find info on arigon, and ways to book her. Other stuff to check out, other than what I've put here.
- Jana: She is very beautiful. She's featured on the Native Allure Calendar. Her form of music is descibed as Dance/Pop. This page gives some facts about her, and her tribe (Lumbee). Nice page.
- Ulali: This is Ulali's official webpage. It's pretty good. You can order their 1st cd, which is somewhat hard to find in some areas. They also have a guestbook you can sign. They got people from all over the world praising their music and sound. If you don't know, Ulali is a trio of Native Women who sing a capella, and do it very well too. Their new album is due out sometime this year (99), but may be held off for awhile? I haven't seen, or heard anything promoting a new cd from them? And since it is now 2000, hopefully the album drops soon.
- MP3 Native American: This is the Native American section of MP3.com. To listen to any of the MP3's you have to submit an email address so they can send some info, and probably advertisements too. It's updated, but I don't know how often?
- Native Musician's Link List: (October 24th) Okay, I was informed I had the wrong link up. Oops. This is the right one now, and the site has grown since it's been created. I apologize for any confusion. Looking it over, this site does provide a lot of links for all types of native musicians, artists, drums, and so forth.
- Index of Native American Music Resources on the Internet: Here is Karen Strom's collection of links to many Native artists, musicians, record companies, or whatever deals with Native Music. It's a lot better then other sites that try to do the same. This is part of a, much, bigger site. A lot of sites do refer to this site as being resourceful. I'll have to follow suit and say that, resourceful, it is.
- Rainbow Walker: Here is a site also dealing with Native Music. I'm pretty sure this is for online ordering of music. From here you can order Tapes, CD's, and some video's. They also have their own Message Boards where you can post your review of an album, or ask questions about an act or artist. It's a good site to check out to find out about native music and order from too.
