This part of the site will deal with sites that are resources in native news of any kind. Be it in music, film, or news in general.
  • Cyberhogan.com: This site is for the Ganado, Arizona area. It's like a navajo.com, or navajoland.com, but not really. This site has it's own flare and style. I guess you just have to visit it and see what I'm talking about here.

  • Cowboys & Indians: This is the monthly magazine that has some exclusive articles and interviews of some native celebrities. They cover cowboys and stuff too, but I like it because they have things on native people as well.

  • Indian Country Today: This is the site for the weekly native newspaper distributed in all 50 states, and 17 countries.

  • Aboriginal Voices Magazine: This is the site for the bimonthy magazine covering musicians, performers, events, and artists throughout native country. It's based in Canada, but subscriptions are available to those in the states as well.

  • Native Web: This is a large site with a lot of things to view. They got some boards here to, but to post, you have to register yourself to the site. Once you do that, you can add links, post, and even provide reviews on certain things like books, music, and I think sites?

  • GreatMoon.com: This site looks to be a list of native resources site. This site covers a lot. It has things for college students, teachers, music, film, video, books, and other things too. The music part looks very similar to Karen Stroms setup? Maybe it's coincidence? It's a pretty big site, with lots of links. The webmaster emailed me, and suggested I check it out. I did, and now it's linked.

  • Four Winds Trading: This site is for ordering stuff like books, music, and movies (I think?). Somehow, I started getting their newsletter? I checked out there site, and they got some native news, and a pow-wow (online) calendar too. They're selling Sage, Sweetgrass, and Cedar too? I don't know what's up with that? Trying to get a buck somehow I guess. Exploit certain parts of heritage, and get a buck while doing it?

  • Indianz.com: This site is big. It's divided into seperate categories ranging from Relationships to tribal news around native country. It's well put together, and is very informative.

  • Native American Section of Minorities' Job Bank: They got some news here. You have to look for the message board part. It has jobs listed that are available, and you can put up your resume' too. This is for jobs, but also has other stuff to look at.

  • Navajo Land: This is probably the better of the navajo sites mentioned, but don't take my word for it. This site is regularly updated, and is also, regularly visited by people from people everywhere. The webmaster of this site, also does a model site for Native Americans. It does reach Navajo Athletes too. The (online)calendars here are also filled with pow-wows, and other events. This site also has news happening around Navajo Country.

  • Navajo2000.com: I really haven't visited this site that much. It has a photo gallery to it though. This site is selling a calendar, as is Navajo Land. And this calendar is also limited edition. This site also is a news source for Navajos.

  • Navajos.com: This site is another navajo site. What sets this site apart from the others, is that you can get your own email address here. I'm talking about [email protected]. They also have a chat room available, and some messageboards too. I like it's chatroom because of it's simplicity. No ads to view while chatting.

  • Indian Creek Media: This site deals in both music, and film. It's owned and operated by navajos. When I first visited the site, it had more music available than videos? This site seems to have recent things available to order.

  • Index of Native American Resources on the Internet: This is Karen Strom's List of Native Links. She also has a lot of categories to choose from. This is set up different from Lisa's List, and is somewhat better organized?

  • Lisa Mitten's Native Links: A lot of people have visited this site. It's a native resource guide to the internet. A lot of categories to choose from. She's been working on this site since '97, so it's grown to be pretty big.

  • Native Search Engine: This is the 1st "Native Only" search engine on the internet. It's okay, but it only lists sites submitted to whoever created the nativesearch. There are a lot more sites that aren't in it. Hopefully some of them are listed in here.
