The Girl Next Door
What I Stand For

From Everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted much, much more will be asked.

I hold much higher morals and values now than I used to. I strive to be the best person I can possibly be while I am here on earth. Yes, everyone makes mistakes, it is normal. The same holds for me, but I have recognized them and learned from them. I believe it is important to be honest, trustworthy, faithful, and kind. Not only does it benefit you, but influences others.

I am eighteen. The world portrays your average eighteen-year-old as going out to clubs and bars, drinking, and as having a great time picking up people of the opposite sex. The world is wrong. Sin is fun for a short while, it ultimately leads to death. I used to have "fun", but it got old. I look back and wonder why I thought those things were fun. I got grounded, my mother lost trust in me, and I lost respect for myself. That is not "fun"! Now when I go out, my mother sometimes has trouble trusting my intentions because of my mistakes. Nothing hurts more to see your mother's heart breaking. Trust me, by not participating in the world's definition of fun, you are actually living more and will be rewarded beyond belief in the future.

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world the love of the father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. I John 2:15-17.
