Just who are The Dixie Darlin's? Well, in these confusing days of androgynous identities, it is refreshing to find that The Dixie Darlin's are all 100 per cent female - and 100 percent charming ladies. Of course, they come from Dixie, that nostalgic Southland where the songs, like the folks, are gentler, friendlier, and the air is so full of sweetness that everybody calls each other "Honey" and "Sugar" and "Darlin'." And that is just their name. You'll feast your eyes on these fresh faced femmes-fatales, but when they start in to singin' and playin' you're in for a bigger treat. Listenin' to The Dixie Darlin's is kinda like bitin' into one of those thousand-year-old holiday fruitcakes....you're always surprised at what you find! The first bite may be a song so sweet and sentimental that your eyes'll water, then a taste of the bitter truth, of love turned sour; then a fiddle or banjo frolic that'll whip you up into a mouth-waterin' frenzy! And all flavored with good-natured family humor thats just as tangy and tart and dry as Grandpaw's cackle. A Dixie Darlin show is a whole meal of mirthful melodies.

Just remember what folks say down yonder when The Dixie Darlin's bat their innocent eyelashes and smile you up a tune, "Such a joyful pickin', sawin' and twangin' of good ol' songs you ain't never heerd from a passel of gorgeous gals in yore life - None Some Never!"

The Dixie Darlin's with The 97th Regimental String Band

.....A loving, yet unsolicited testimonial from Rick Moock
    Civil War musician extraordinaire of
    The 97th Regimental String Band
    (if you're reading this, Rick.....
the check is in the mail)

The 97th Regimental String Band (Rick Moock, Mark "Mad Dog" Luce and Jim Krause) wanted so badly to be Dixie Darlin's, they donned aprons and bonnets on stage at Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO to perform with the gals. They did a great job, but just weren't Darlin' material. Sorry, guys.
