Welcome to Nanny's Family Album

Nanny at 3 years

My name is Nanny Gail. This is a photo taken of me when I was 3 years old. I live in the wonderful little fishing village of Lockeport, Nova Scotia, Canada. My husband Ray and I have been married over 37 wonderful years.

This picture of Ray and I was taken the day after I got home from a 5 day hospital stay for pneumonia. Makeup can do wonders! This is a picture of Ray and I on our wedding day, 37+ years earlier. My, how young we look there!!Where has the time gone?

Ray and I   37 Years Earlier

Ray and I are both born again Christians attending the Lockeport Pentecostal Church since we were married. Many times God has touched our family with healings for their bodies. Our daughter had Spinal Menengitis when she was 6 1/2. Because it had gone undiagnosed for so long, We were told that if she lived, she would be in a "vegetative state". God had other plans. Today she is a healthy young woman with a family of her own. God does answer prayer.

When Ray was 21 years old he had such bad back trouble he couldn't walk or work.On Mother's Day he went to church. A sweet elderly lady in the church was imstantly healed of leg ulcers. Ray thought, "If God can heal her, He can heal me to." He went forward for prayer and was healed instantly. He is now 63+ and hasn't missed one day of fishing because of his back. When God does something, He does it well.

I had migraines so bad I would end up in bed for days trying to block out the light and the noise. One Wednesday night after Bible study the Pastor and Ray prayed for me and , Praise the Lord, the migraines are gone.

So you see, God is still alive and well and He hasn't changed. We may fail Him but He never fails us. We may stray far from Him but He never leaves us or forsakes us. God is faithful to honor His word if we but believe what He says.

This is my baby picture. Below it is a picture of our daughter Tina. I think she looks a lot like her mum.

Our baby picture.

I took a picture of Ray "feeding" Donnie for me when he was 6 days old. I came back into the room two minutes later to remind Ray to burp him after he drank a few ounces of milk. Well, there they both were, sound asleep. I ran for the camera and took their picture. years later when Donnie was a dad himself Sarah took this picture of him with Riley , 6 days old. When I saw the picture it reminded me so much of the one of him and his dad. When I put the two side by side the looked so much alike.

Like Father, like son.

These are our two children Tina and Donnie as adults taken on Donnie's wedding day. The picture of Donnie and his wife Sarah was taken at the beach just down the hill from our house.

Our two children.     Wedding Day

Some firsts....Tina's first day of school....Donnie's first Christmas...Riley's first Christmas.

      Tina's first day of school.

Opening the gifts.   Nanny and Riley opening gifts.

If I didn't know better, I'd say I was holding the same baby all those years later.

My mum and my four grandkids

This is my mum a few years back with my grandchildren. Tristan is Tina's youngest. He is holding Emily, my one and only baby girl. Adrian Joel, aka A.J., is Tina's oldest. He is holding Riley. Emily, the baby, is now 4 years old and quite the "Princess". She rules the roost wherever she goes.

So, now you know a little about me and my family. They are Nanny's pride and joys. She loves to have them come visit so they can help her make cookies and other goodies.

      Cooking up a storm

I thought I would add a few pictures of me with my "American cousin" Joanie and her husband Phil. They live in New Hampshire and for many years we lost contact. Thanks to the internet and wonderful email we were able to find each other again. We are so much alike. Joanie says we were one egg that split and one half was born over 10 years before the second half. I love it when we are able to get together.

I have bent your ear long enough so I guess I will let you go. Hope you enjoyed your little visit. God bless you and come back soon. Hugs, Nanny G
