The Priorities
- Improved facilities for young people
- Activities for teenagers.
- More places at nursery and primary schools.
- Youth Work.
Who's involved
For Young People in the area, the rural nature of where they live represents specific problems. The 'boredom factor' can very easily come into play in some of teh smaller villages in the Community Planning Area. That is why it is vital to have engagement between the people for whom these facilities matter and the organisations who can deliver.
- Local Government at all levels.
- Local voluntary organisations.
- Youth Councils
Feedback
In order to achieve the aims above it is vital that the Young People have a voice with which to be heard. It will be all to easy for the Community Planning process to become a scheme where Young People of the area have things done to them instead of being actively engaged in the planning and strategy.
Feedback is central to ensuring that this does not happen. A further priority must then be active communication using many different media, meetings, radio, the internet and youth panels.
