As part of MIT's Global Entrepreneurship class, I traveled with four fellow MBA students to Uruguay to work at a company called Scanntech. Before I got there, I spent a week in the resort town of Punta Del Este, living a life that was completely outside my usual reality. After that, I spent three weeks slaving away at the startup POS software company and during the weekends was able to sneak in some beach time. I must say that out of all the countries in South America, I never expected Uruguay to be the one that I know best!

After a day in the sun, we had an incredible meal enjoying the view below.

The next day, we headed back towards Punta Del Este and spent the day at Cabo Polonia.

The only way to get into Cabo Polonia is by 4 x 4 over the sand dunes.

Climbing one of the local sand dunes.

Guido and Stuart really are quite good friends...
