As part of MIT's Global Entrepreneurship class, I traveled with four fellow MBA students to Uruguay to work at a company called Scanntech. Before I got to Uruguay, I spent a week and a half in Argentina. Having already been there two years before, I decided to spend the bulk of my time near the Andes in the scenic town, Mendoza. It was refreshing to be back on the backpack circuit, even if it was only for a short time. Traveling alone again reminded me of days gone by, where it was me against the world...

No backpacking trip would be complete without at least some adventure sports. So, I decided to jump off a mountain. Although, it turned out that before I could jump, the parachute yanked me right up. The next thing I new, I was staring down at the mountain below me.

After coasting safely back to earth, I decided that it was time to head for the mountains. I jumped on a bus with four cagey Spaniards and took a short hike near the Western hemisphere's tallest mountain - the Aconcagua.
