Murkwood Forest is found the westernmost region of Eden. Its darkness evidence to the alignment this part of the island represents, evil. The clan that oversees all of Murkwood is the Arakan clan, which currently is head by Decinus Arakan and his supposed bride, Chimara.
The forest itself is an eerie one. Spirits of those long passed but confined to the dark forest linger along the ever changing paths. Trees that look dead and ancient will suddenly come alive and attack the innocent passerby. Undead roam the dark patches of the forest seeking food, game, fun, and prey. The wind itself is chilled with the haunting evil that surrounds the region. Sounds of the night echo not with happy chrips of crickets or songs of birds, but with bloodcurling screams and mocking laughter.
Only the truly evil at heart can withstand spending time in these dark woods, let alone reside within them. |
