Recently opened, One of Eden's newer residents has turned the Island's old Lighthouse into a bookstore. While the house itself is the residence of Mythelia, a former Pirate and recently discovered Silverlore native, the Lighthouse itself is open to the public during daylight hours.
But this is no ordinary place, it is rumored that the lighthouse itself has a curse from long ago, when the lighthouse operator had an affair with a sea captain's wife (who lived in the cottage at the time). Tales tell of the captain's early return from his passage at sea to find his wife entwined int he arms of his best friend, the lighthouse operator. Enraged with the betrayal, it is said that he called upon the Gods to grant him the favor of the curse, sending the adultrous couple into a fate worse then death, stuck forever within the pages of the books that brought the couple together, that opened the door of seduction and betrayal.
It is said that the curse still stands today and that any person who reads the books out loud after the sun sets or before it rises, will be fated to the same curse as the couple of old, sucked into the life of the very pages they read. |
