The Beginning

the parties greatest challenge to date with Kaldes at the forefront and Mar’s hastily summoned dire rat dealing the final blow.

Kythorn 1

The party continues deeper into the keep, finding evidence of all sorts of experiments being overseen by the ‘Outcast’. Further information about the apple leads to information about the Galthias Tree in the keep’s Twilight Grove (which produces a healing apple in summer and a poisonous apple in winter). The party rests in the library.

Kythorn 2

The party enters the Twilight Grove and does battle with Balek and his forces, which include adventures enslaved by the Galthias Tree (which Balek claimed grew from a stake impaled in the heart of a vampire). What seemed to be an easy battle took a drastic turn for the worst when Kaldes appeared to change sides. Eventually, the evil druid and his cohorts are slain and Kaldes overcame the compulsion that was laid upon him. The tree was burned, the head of Balek obtained as proof and treasure found (including a wand on entangle).

Kythorn 3

The party returns to Oakhurst and details the events of what happened. No further mysterious events have occurred around town. The party learns that the adventurers enslaved by Balek have family in Oakhurst and return the family heirlooms that they brought back.

Kythorn 4

The party returns sets out to return to Mosstone.

Kythorn 5

The ‘dragon priest’ creature they thought they had slain in the keep attacks the party. They dismember it good this time.
