There's the mighty Kaldes, a young fighter with a strong heart but a quick temper.

Conor Llyldferg, a bard of passing skill and somewhat garish attire. For all his flamboyance, I sense a darkness about him.

And Portia Tealeaf, a halfling rogue with more than enough ego and attitude to make up for her diminutive stature.

This is quite a cadre that we've built. I only hope we're enough to subdue Balek and bring him to justice.

Oakhurst

It has been only a week since my last entry and already we have our first bit of adventuring under our belt.

The renegade Balek is dead and his vile tree destroyed. We're resting now in Oakhurst, a small hamlet south of The Wealdath, reviewing our treasure, and returning some family heirlooms to those in the town who lost loved ones to Balek and his machinations.

The Circle divined that this was the source of the poisoned apple that nearly killed Emmakk Gallum. So here we arrived eight days past. Even before we'd made arrangements for the evening, we heard stories of noises in the night, live stock mutilations, and strange, charred depressions appearing in the pastures over night. There were also hushed whispers about another party that passed through here a week or so ago but hasn't returned. Of the towns folk who were willing to speak of it at all (and there are few), most pointed us toward some ruins of a destroyed keep north of town as a place to start our search.
