Kholum the Swift

If you steal from me,
I steal from you.
Why tempt futility
and disturb my sleep
When all things must
be where the are?

Things taken will
come full circle,
for though the day
calls you master,
my servants rule
the night.

Not too ominous that ...

Dane attempted to Detect Magic and discovered that the statues eyes were magical as well as something buried in a pile of refuse in the corner.

Portia quickly (maybe a little too quickly) searched through the rags and what she said looked like old bones (... maybe) and quickly came up with a gem ... a large gem.

A quick examination determined that this gem was the missing "eye" of the statue. We unanimously decided (with a fair amount of grumbling from Portia) that it would be in our best interest to replace the stone in "it's place". Portia (still grumbling) climbed the statue and pushed the eye into its socket with an audible "click".

A heavy, stone scraping noise drew our attention to the top of the platform where a piece stone had swung upwards to reveal a small room containing a sarcophagus. We examined the enclosure but took nothing. We decided it was time to go.

We made our way back to camp and retired for the night.
