Hoyt Francis Smiley,
my beloved father
b - Oct. 25, 1906, Stafford, KS;
d- Dec. 3, 1995,
Stafford, KS

Policeman, Chief of Police, singer, pianist, and violin player.

Frank Girard Smiley and
Jessie Primrose Forbes Smiley
Grandfather and grandmother

Grandfather was born in Stafford, KS, in the same house where my father and myself were born. He had acreage with fruit trees, strawberries and other produce which he used to supplement his Army pension. He was in the Spanish-American war. Grandmother was born in Cuba, Mo.



Donald Wayne Smiley,
my beloved brother
b - Sept. 28, 1931,
Stafford, KS;
d - Dec. 20, 1983,
Texoma, OK

Law enforcement officer, pastor, singer, and a wonderful Christian. His wife Sharon and nine children survived his death. He was killed by a hit and run car, while stopping traffic on the Texas-Oklahoma border.

Thomas Chester Mayer,
my beloved grandson
b - July 19, 1973;
d - Sept. 17, 1997

Tommy graduated from Stafford, KS and moved to Wichita, where he died very suddenly while at work. He had given his heart to the Lord at age 15 and was baptized in a church in Cherryvale, KS just before he died.



Charles Chester Lyons
Husband and father
of my children
b - Dec. 5, 1921,
Raymond, KS;
d - Aug, 13, 1981, at our
home, Medicine Ridge, KS
of a massive heart attack.

Charles was an oil field
worker, missionary, and
a collector of watches, old
old lamps, and other
antiques. We were
married June 13, 1947.

Everett Edgar Williams
b - May 15, 1933, Lyons, KS;
d - Apr. 1987, Stafford, KS

Everett was an oil field
pulling unit driver after
he got out of the Marine
Corps. He was a Sergeant in
the U.S. Marines during the
Korean War, spending some
time in Korea. We were
married Dec. 31, 1981 in
New Mexico.
