Marcia Halpern's Electronic Portfolio

Here are five projects that I did for Philip Molebash in EdTec 470.  I am especially proud of them because I think they illustrate five very useful aspects of technology that I will be able to use in my science classroom in order to benefit my students.  Click on the picture next to the description to access my analysis of each project and an example.

My Floating Lab flyer shows how to use a paint program to
make a fun field trip flyer.
My grading spreadsheet is a great way to keep up to date on student progress.
This WebQuest lesson integrates both math and science in a study of the relationship between temperature and latitude and/or altitude.
A PowerPoint presentation on the theory of continental drift will convince all those with any lingering doubts.
My "piece de resistance" is an inquiry-based lesson on electricity prices in California.  This lesson requires students to gather data and analyze it with the aid of a spreadsheet.  What are the forces behind the current "electricity crisis"?  And what can we do to prevent it from recurring in the future?
