  • GROWING UP:
    1. I was born at Tanga/Tanzania on 24th April, 1950, in a local chiefdom family.
    2. I was brought up to become a leader of our local clan.
    3. My grandfather who was a local chief by then, insisted during my growing up stages that he was preparing me to be their leader.
    4. EDUCATION:

      2. Completed high school in 1973.
      3. Joined the East African Posts and Telecommunications Training School for a three year’s course in Telecommunication Engineering 1974-1977 and graduated as Technical Officer.
      4. Completed a Diploma course in Telecommunications Management studies conducted by Bath College (UK) in 1998.
      5. Awarded certificates in various courses as follows:-
        1. SADCC Spectrum Management.
        2. Team Leader Training.
        3. Integrated Management Process.
        4. Commercial Customer Care.
        5. Financial Management.
        6. Marketing.
        7. Total Quality Management.
        8. Computer courses and several others.
        9. INFORMAL:
          1. Six months compulsory military training – 1974.
          2. Seminars on frequency management.
          3. Workshops on performance evaluation and analysis.
          4. Meeting on safety and navigation on inland waterways.
          5. Meeting on world Radio Conference – Geneva (Switzerland)
          6. Vice Chairman of Mara Region Sports Council.
          7. EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE:
            1. I joined the former East African Posts and Telecommunication Corporation in 1974 as a Technical Trainee. I underwent a three year’s course on Telecommunication Engineering and completed in 1977.
            2. The Organization was to undergo Organization structural changes until it was broken into three entities, namely, Tanzania Telecommunications Company Limited, Tanzania Postal Corporation and Tanzania Communication Commission.
            3. This took place in 1993 and by January 1994, every entity operated independently.
            4. I have been working in the same Telecommunication sector to the present entity todate.
              The employer being the same.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:  I have successfully raised the status of the two Business Regions of Mara and Mwanza from categories C and B to B and A respectively- within a period of eight (8) years.  The above endeavour has also impacted my career development to a rise in my income, which also necessitates all my staff to get bonus all along this period.  Through skills development and training have/elevated three Regional Managers and several other officers to take higher posts in the Organization.
            6.             7. GOALS STATEMENT: 5.1 PERSONAL GOALS:  To create a progressive future in providing the best education to my children.  To develop my career to an appreciable level next step up through MBA Program of Rustmore University. 5.2 COMPANY’S GOALS: To achieve the Region’s performance targets business units on: - - Sales - Customer Care - Customer profitability (Collections) - Resource Planning.
            8. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL GOALS IN THE AREAS OF MY FINANCES, LIFESTYLE AND CAREER: 6.1 EXPENDITURE:  Most expenses are incurred in the education of our children.  We spend as a family essentially on the basic things of our daily living expenses.  The balance from my income is banked for contingency and reserve for future development. 6.2 LIFESTYLE: I have adopted a lifestyle related to my work place, Home and Social issues. In order to prove this, a way forward, which I have developed, was of the registration in the MBA Program with Rushmore University. 6.3 CAREER: I would hope to meet my goals and take advantage of opportunities to learn MBA. With the attainment of MBA, I will be considered for other positions with the Company. 7.4 FINANCES: My goals in the area of finance will be realized by working hard at the work place and assisting my wife who is an accountant on Managing Site Projects, which she is undertaking as a way of supplementing our family income.
            9. WHY I CHOSE RUSHMORE FOR MY DEGREE PROGRAM:  The education provided by distance learning is quality assured.  To gain a degree to add up to the knowledge gained through a lifetime experience. 7.1 HOW TO REACH MY GOALS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM:  Step by step learning will foster my mind in reaching the goals.  I want to understand how to build a business from its footing up to its success.  I have to do better for myself and my family.
