INFORMATION

• The father of Buffy and Dawn Summers, Hank married Joyce shortly after they attended a high school dance together after Hank ditched his initial date. Buffy was born in 1981, but by 1996 Hank and Joyce’s relationship was at breaking point. Buffy’s strange attitudes due to her vampire slaying tore her parents apart, and Hank, who Buffy was convinced was having an affair, left the family home a year before the move to Sunnydale. Despite her parent’s divorce, Buffy and Hank still spent time together, during which she would travel to Los Angeles, but over the years Hank slowly detached from his eldest daughter and didn’t contact Buffy after her mother died. His last known whereabouts were in Spain.
