INFORMATION

• Called to become the Chosen One after the Slayer Kendra Young was murdered by the vampire Drusilla, Faith Lehane was originally from a broken home in Boston, Massachusetts, where she had a very rough childhood including an absent father and an alcoholic mother. Eventually, Faith was called by her Watcher, and threw herself into her Slaying. Unlike Buffy, Faith loved her job, immersing herself in her role and sometimes becoming too involved in the violence it brought with it. Eventually, in 1998, Faith travelled to Sunnydale to seek the aid of Buffy against the vampire Kakistos. Narrowly staking the vampire, Faith resided in Sunnydale, under the guidance of Giles, until he was replaced by Wesley Wyndam-Pryce. On her first mission for Wesley, Faith accidentally killed Allan Finch, the deputy mayor of Sunnydale, and dumped the body. She showed a lack of concern for anything around her and became the Mayor's chief assassin, killing willingly for whatever reason the Mayor needed to aid his upcoming ascension. Eventually, Faith crossed the line by targeting Angel, which brought her into direct conflict with Buffy. Buffy and Faith battled to a standoff, during which Buffy stabbed Faith with her own weapon, and left her in a coma, in which she resided for eight months. When she finally awoke, Faith sought to wreck vengeance on the people who put her in hospital, beginning with Buffy and continuing with Angel. Finally, Faith gave herself up and confessed to the murder of Allan Finch, earning her a prison sentence. She remained in prison for two and half years, frequently visited by Angel, until he reverted to Angelus again. Wesley broke her out of prison and Faith aided him in tracking down and subduing Angelus. Afterward, Faith travelled with Willow to Sunnydale where she and Buffy put their differences aside and worked together to defeat the First. Developing a relationship with Robin Wood, Faith survived the final battle with the First and continues to battle on the side of good against the Forces of Darkness.
