West River Mural Co. Tour

I always have lots of requests for florals, large and small. I do lots of commissioned work for people who first approach me to do a mural, and then decide to do a really nice work on canvas so that they can take it with them if they ever decide to move. These irises are about 4'x4' square.
I work in all sorts of styles depending upon what your needs are. Just about anything is possible here. This is just a little watercolor example that photographed nicely close up. It's a mix between airbrush and hand rendering.
I also do some stenciling and painted children's furniture for clients now and then.
Yes indeed, flowers do come in all shapes and sizes at our house. This rose detail is about 4' tall.
This little work was commissioned as a pet portrait. Tiny, about 12"x15". In oil, on masonite, partially from a photograph.
I also do portraits. This one is a montage. The original photo was of the three girls in a
swimming pool.
I added the background and put them in the ocean.
This painting is about 3.5'  wide, in oil, on canvas.
To give you an idea of how I work, here is a current work in progress. This is another old master reproduction. Usually for this type of work I try to assimilate as best as possible the way that I was taught the old masters' worked. I start with a sepia layer for the underpainting and then build the colors somewhat transparently in glazes on top of that base. It's hard to see a lot of detail in these digital photos on the web, but up close and personal this one already promises to be exquisite. I am currently working on two identical copies of this painting. In oil, on canvas, 44"x32". Taking bids.
And lots of kids stuff too.
I have an ecard site on the web, that's a 3-5 year project, I don't have much time to devote to it but I use a lot of this old kid stuff over there. Email me for a link:

That site may need updating, I rarely get a chance to work on it.

Have fun!
