There is no comparison to a trip that gets you out of school for three days, helps you meet amazing new people, and have an amazing encounter with God. Passion 06 was amazing and if you ask me how it was that is all I can describe it as, everything there was amazing. This year Passion was in Nashville and had a ton of speakers including John Piper and Louie Giglio; a ton of worship leaders: David Crowder, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Charlie Hall, Shane and Shane, Christy Knockles, etc; and a ton of cool new people: (including my family group from left to right) JQ, BJ, me, Thomas, Kristina, Kalin, Adrian, and Jessica (not pictured). |

Most of the group from Immanuel stayed at the Holiday Inn Express with amazing continental breakfast, a very expensive gift shop, and coed rooms (just kidding). The seniors from Immanuel didn't spend the whole week with each other, but rather they branched out with their family groups. We all ate at Rippy's barbeque one night (which Meredith did not like), had ice cream from Dixieland Delights, and ate at McDonalds that night.
During one free time, my group and I got together for bible study and worship time as a group. I was extremely late because I lost track of time, my key was demagnetized, and the Sheraton was ten blocks away from my hotel. When I finally got there, the elevators were clogged with people like a drain full of hair. We finally started at 4 (30 minutes after the planned time). BJ, my co-leader, led us in a time of devotion through the book of Jonah, it was very applicable for me. Then we had an impromptu time of worship which was great except only the guys were singing; the girls were taking pictures and video of us. Overall I thought my group was and is the best, I love you guys!
For those of you who didn't get to go to Passion 06, come next year! Passion 07 will be in Atlanta, Georgia and registration starts on March 1.
