William H. Salmon [Parents] was born 5 May 1836 in Stoney Point, Albemarle Co., Va. He died 5 Dec 1923 and was buried 7 Dec 1923 in Preddy's Creek Bap. Church. William married Sarah J. Munday on 13 Oct 1859.

According to obit in the Daily Progress. William died "...in his 88th year" after "an illness of four weeks" at "a local hospital". At the time of his death four children survied him: W. L. Salmon of Bluefield W.V., Wade H. Salmon of Cobham, A. M. Salmon of Ch'ville, and Mrs. Charles Munday of Stoney Point. It is stated in the obit that William was "...the last of a large family".
