Even though birthdate is recorded as May 1879 in 1900 census, he is not listed in the 1880 census, his brother Hansel being one and the youngest child in the family at that time according to the census. However there are several discrepancies in the enumeration and may be the enumerator's mistake. There is an Idda listed , but not Evelyn nor Janie. I am uncertain who Idda is whether Janie or Evelyn I have no family reference to the name Idda being used to compare it to, but am assuming Idda is Evelyn
