District Supervisor Maria Stapleton was born the 2nd child of six children to Mr. Charlie Richardson and Mrs Florida Mae Tuggle
Richardson. Her older brother died before Pastor Stapleton was born leaving her the eldest of 5 children 3 brothers and one
sister. Born to hard working parents she learned to work at an early age. Her mother had a small cleaning business during
her childhood and her father ran a lawn care service all in Atlanta. District Supervisor and her family all worked the girls
with their Mother cleaning newly built house after construction and the boys with their father. She was educated in the Dekalb
County School System in Northeast Atlanta, attended the Career Institute and a year at Emory University. She married Mr. John
Ross together they have 4 daughters Larissa Ross Fountain, Teresa Diane Mitchell Perry, Alice Jane Stapleton, and Lillie Bell
Stapleton (deceased), a God made family. She later worked as the manager of Commercial Cleaning Service for a Falcon Football
Player and she subcontracted cleaning their family owned business. Working both jobs and driving to Blakely every week was
hard and very trying. Leaving Atlanta immediately after work on Friday or sometimes on Saturday and returning to work on most
Mondays at 7:00 AM after arriving home around 5:00 AM from Blakely. She is now married to Deacon Jacob Stapleton. Her brothers
are Charlie L. Richardson,(deceased) Calvin L. Richardson, Leon Richardson, and her baby sister Mrs. Eva Mae Richardson Thomas.
