Journal Entries are assigned on a regular basis. Students access Gaggle.net to submit their Journal Entries and Daily Assignments.
Extra Credit: Students may research any woman who has contributed to our lives and history. They must write one page on their contributions to our world today. They also should include how our lives would be different if that individual was never born.
Quizzes are taken on QuizStar. You may contact me for or have your child share their log-in information so that you can check their current quiz grades.

For the end of this quarter and through the next quarter, we will be discussing careers, their similarities and differences. Students will have the chance to research a career and present their information to the class. This lesson will broaden each student's horizon in the career fields, who knows, there may be some future doctors and cosmetologists in your class!
ELITE 8's
VOCATS testing will be held the week of May 15-19th. Make sure you study the question packets!!! Remember VOCATS makes up 20% of your 4th quarter grade!!!
In order to prepare for the End of Grade test in my class, the VOCATS (Vocational Competency Achievement Tracking System) test, we will spend the next three weeks reviewing everything learned since the beginning of the year. These review sessions will be sensitive to audio, visual and kinesthetic learners.
In preparation for the review sessions, students will be given VOCATS Review questions to answer for homework. Students who complete and turn in ALL VOCATS questions as assigned for homework will be eligible for extra credit toward their IN CLASS VOCATS grade.
As an instructor, it is my duty to assign a weight to the VOCATS test for my class, as it serves as an end of course measurement. Please note, each student's VOCATS test score WILL count as 20% of his/her 4th quarter grade. This information can be found on each student's syllabus, given at the beginning of the school year. Parents/Guardians, please encourage your child to do his/her best on this exam! Students, the tools will be/have been given...USE THEM!!
