9/22/03  A new way of doing things...
I have decided to try a new thing, being nice to people, no matter my real thoughts on them.  My inspiration is that I am a terrible person at making friends.  Usually my friends tend to be as outrageous as myself, and are one of the few that can be a friend.  Well, that is all going to end.  Starting today, I will start being nice to people.  I will complement them, and listen to what they say, and remember the names of new people I meet.  This is important to me, to say the least.

9/23/03 What really is the problem with the football team?
Well, MSU lost a game it wasn't supposed to lose, for the second straight week.  Houston is NOT a good team, not even a decent team.  They totally demolished State, no matter what the 42-35 score seems to show.  The defense is hapless, and no playmakers are emerging.  I know we are young, but aren't there supposed to be sparks of ability?  We have allowed 105 pass attempts this year, and have only come close to one interception.  So we become unable to stop the run, because of our efforts to try to control the pass, so everything we do becomes futile.  At least the offense has played well up to now!

9/24/03 Excitement is building in S'vegas
Friday and Saturday in Starkville could prove to be huge.  Friday is not only the eagerly anticipated Bulldog Bash, a collection of up to 15,000 drunk, sweaty and excitable college students, who want nothing better than a good time and great music (Thank you Edwin), but also the night of the Starkville High/West Point football game, which will be a humdinger, a game between two of the fiercest rivals in the state.  Saturday may not be as exciting, but at least there is football right?  Ok, the Bulldogs vs the Tigers may not live up to what we wanted in the preseason, but we have moved to the stage where it is all about the tailgaiting, and there ought to be plenty of good examples of that.

9/25/03 Being bored sucks...
I have nothing to do tonight!!  No money till tomorrow, so no going out.  My friends are out of town or doing something else, so that is a problem.  What to do, what to do.  Hmm, I could finish my book, or clean, or ask out a girl, or write humiliating things on my website.  I think I will do the latter, then scrape the change jar and go to the movies.  Later folks.

9/26/03 Movie Review for "Underworld"
I went to the movies last night and saw a quite interesting film.  The movie, Underworld, tells the story of a war between Lycans (werewolves) and Vampyres (vampires), and a Romeo and Juliet (romeo and juliet)  ripoff lovestory between one of each race.  There was some mumbo jumbo about mixed races, and slavery or some crap like that.  So far, you would think this movie sucked, but it did not.  I liked it, it was well shot for the most part, the werewolves were large and powerful, and the vamps were graceful.  The plot was not terribly tough to follow, but it did pull much from a source that most of us are not familiar with, namely comics.  I confess, I have not read the books, but it only mattered to people not familiar with either lore.  The acting was okay, not great, but not bad either.  I felt a little at ease with the music, which is a good thing.  There is no truly negative or positive part that I can hang my hat on.  Recommendation:  Matinee movie with your buds

9/27/03  Movie Review for "The Rundown"
Well, The Rock is next.  And just 5 minutes into the movie The Rundown, you will know what I am talking about.  A certain scene, a certain person, hands off to Dwayne Johnson to be the next action superstar.  But this movie is more than that one scene.  It is about Christopher Walken stealing every scene he is in.  It is about Seann William Scott not being annoying (ala American Wedding), and Rosario Dawson being hot.  Oh, yeah, forgot, The Rock is badass.  Time to give up wrasslin big fella.  You are a talent, time to use it.  The Rock kicks everyones ass.  He beats everyone down without the help of a gun, except once.  Trees and brick walls can not hold him and his fury in this movie.  But I forgot to tell you, it is funny too.  Best buddy action flick since, maybe, Rush Hour.  Recommendation:  See it with a crowd and have fun.
