9/8/03 What do you think about time travel?
I think, while the laws of physics and the limits of the human body pretty much forbid it, that being able to see the times past would be great. I think the only possibility is the theory of multiple (even infinite) universes. The idea is broached in 'Timeline' by Michael Crichton.
9/8/03 Can Men and Women be friends?
After a long period of time (influenced in a large way by When Harry met Sally) I have finally converted to understanding that men and women can be friends. It is imperitive that this happen too. Men cannot exist in today's workplace lusting after women. It is his duty to keep his hormones in check (a skill she learned at 10) and deal with it. Men do not necessarily want to sleep with every woman he meets, but he may think about it. I imagine women are not terribly different in that.
9/8/03 What is a Sport?
In my mind a Sport is any game played with some object, such as a ball, and where the goal is to score points. There must be at least two clearly defined teams or competitors, and defense must be able to be played.

9/9/03 How do you tell a girl you like her, a lot even, without being pushy or creepy?
The answer to this is a difficult one truly. I have seeked out the advice of many women, and have gotten many answers. The one constant, however, is to talk about her and do things she wants to do. Another way is to make sure that you two could concievably 'bump' into each other, or would actually have a chance of talking outside of, say, class. Another thing that I find handy is to be nice, even if it is out of character.
9/9/03 How to be yourself on a date...not a chance
My personal belief is that you can never really be yourself on a date. It is an impossibility, much like Bush spearheading a Save the Whales campaign. The first problem to such a thing is that just the asking out and taking out are nervous adventures in themselves. If anything intelligible comes out, that is a victory in and of itself. The second problem is that one may be scared that vunerabilities may come out if one was themself. Sometimes you just don't want to give out that kind of ammunition. Don't give her a reason, because she is looking for one.
9/9/03 Why are girls suddenly starting to talk to me this semester?

Well, I am now attracted to three great girls. All of them talk to me of their own free will (whod a thunkit) and actually somewhat enjoy my company. Of course one has a boyfriend, but that is a minor problem. The theme song for this is 'Stuck In The Middle With You' by the Steve Miller Band. I have class with all three of them. I want to ask all of them or one of them out, but doing so may jeopardize them being friendly with me. This I am afraid of.

9/10/03 Well it is over...
I got rejected today, but I am relieved. I am happy that we can still be friends and move on. She will be a real catch for some lucky guy. ONWARDS TO TULANE!!!
