Applebee's 8224 Fredericksburg (614-3131) and 5809 NW Loop 410 (521-1250) $5-15. Good variety of steaks, salads, etc. Great desserts. Bennigan's I-I0 W at Wurzbach (in the Colonade) (692-3888) under $ 10. Lots of imported beers. Good food.
Bombay Bicycle Club 8811 Fredericksburg (699-1077) under $ 10. UTHSCSA hangout. Outdoor seating, pool table. Champp's Americana 11075 1-10 W (Huebner Oaks) $5-20. American favorites with a twist (steaks, pizza, Cajun, etc.) Lots of TVs for viewing game. Chili's Bar and Grill 12503 I-I0 and De Zavala (558-7788) and 4983 NW Loop 410 (522-1210) $ 7-14. Excellent fajitas and burgers. Good variety with low fat options.
Dave and Buster's 440 Crossroads Blvd. (515-1515) $5-20. Although better known for entertainment (video games, etc.), the food is excellent. Recommendations include mahi-mahi, parmesan chicken and desserts.
Dick's Last Resort Riverwalk (224-0026) $10-20 Known for its obnoxious atmosphere, rude waiters and terrific Dixieland jazz. Excellent BBQ ribs. It's the perfect place to embarrass friends on their birthday.
Durty Nellie's Irish Pub Riverwalk (222-1400) under $10. Complete with pseudo-Irish piano player, four-leaf clovers and plenty of peanuts.
EZ's Brick Oven & Grill 5230 De Zavala (at I-10 W) (699-0066) and 5270 Bandera (at 410) (681-2222). $3-15. Fun, retro-50s malt shop with burgers, quesidillas, pizzas, and calzones. Student disct.
Fat Tuesday's Riverwalk (212-7886) $10-20 '20 something crowd. Grill on the Hill 7920 Fredericksburg (614-8885) $5-12. Great food and atmosphere, outdoor seating. A popular school hangout.
Hard Rock Cafe 11 West Crockett (Riverwalk) (224-7625) $613 Great meeting place. Hungry Horse Wurzbach at Evers (684-9270) $5-10 Good food, homemade desserts, family atmosphere.
James Coney Island 1202 NE Loop 410 (804-2420). Good food. Liberty Bar 328 East Jospehine (227-1187) $7-19. Continental/Central American cuisine.
Maggie's 9715 San Pedro (349-4375) $10-20 Open 24 hours. Extensive bar, variety of food. Live entertainment and excellent Sunday brunch.
Mama's 7710 I-I0 W (349-9367) under $10 Happy hour food and drink specials. Good place to celebrate birthdays. Legendary chocolate cake.
Planet Hollywood Riverwalk (212-7827) $10-20 Noisy, but good food. Presidio 245 Commerce (Riverwalk) (472-2265) American cuisine. Live music, river boat dining, etc. Souper Salad 717 NW Loop 410 (349-7687) $3-12. Enormous salad bar with baked potato bar and all-you-can-eat soup to choose from. Homemade bread with every meal. TGI Fridays I- 10 W at Callaghan. (340-8401) and 1-10 W at de Zavala. $5- 10. Good food and bar. Yummy desserts.

Carranza's Pitstop Bar-B-Que 2809 N. St. Mary's (735-6801) $5-8 Good BBQ, worth the try.
County Line Barbeque 10101 I-10 West (up access road from Wurzbach) and N. Loop 1604 W. (496-001 1) (call for directions to this one) $5-20 Great BBQ served up homestyle. Bring a healthy appetite! Call for directions.
Grady's Bar-B-Que 7400 Bandera (684-2899) and 4109 Fredericksburg (732-3571). $5-15. Delicious BBQ. Worth a taste.
Rudy's Bar-B-Que 1-10 W and Boerne Stage Road (Take Leon Springs Exit) (698-2141) $4-7. This BBQ joint is a restaurant/gas station. Buy in quantities. Good food. Next door to Macaroni Grill.
Tony Roma's 9502 I- 10 W (on east access road off of Wurzbach). Known for excellent ribs, etc.

Augie's By the Park 10447 Nacogdoches (590-9583) $5-10. Known for good burgers, especially the Bean Burger (beef patty with homemade refrieds, Fritos, onions and cheddar cheese).
Chester's Hamburger Company 980 I-10 W (699-1222) $5-6 Great hamburgers and fries, also an impressive imported and domestic beer collection.
Chris Madrid's Nachos and Burgers 1900 Blanco (735-3552) $3-10. Excellent cheddar-cheese burger, very casual outdoor eating. Hangout for Trinity and St. Mary's students.
Dundee's Grill 5500 Babcock (641-6435) under $10 Delicious custom made burgers, world class onion rings and dozens of domestic and imported beers.
Fuddrucker's IHIO and Wurzbach (in the Colonade) (694-0825) $7+ Giant hamburgers, great buns and fries (with all the cheese you can squirt). Yummy shakes and bakery (cookies, brownies).
Little Hipps Gimmiedraw Parlour 1423 McCullough (2228114) $4-13 ($13 for the incredibly large burgers). Good burgers, more than one can eat. Try Hippburger 1, 11 or jalapeno burgers.
Rooty's 13131 San Pedro (490-1151) and 847 NE Loop 410 $5. Good root beer to accompany your burger.
Texas Hamburger Co. 9010 Huebner (near Babcock) (6991189) $5. Good, quality burgers.
