Chart Explanation
The top box represents the students homework. If the student has turned in all of their homework for that particular day, they will get a stick in that space. If they have not completed their homework, it will say “No Homework” or “Homework Not Complete.” Students whom do not complete their homework will miss recess. They will go to the library to complete their homework.
The bottom box represents the student’s behavior for that day. Student’s behavior rating will be based on behavior checks. I will be keeping a behavior log book during lessons. The students will start out a clean slate each day. Anytime a student breaks a rule or is disruptive during class they will be given one check. One check lowers their behavior grade to 85%. Two checks lower their grade to 60% and loss of recess and they are sent to fill our a respect form. Three checks lower their grade to 30% which will result in a call home, loss of recess and parents must then sign their respect form. I do not expect my students to ever get to three checks. By tracking scores on the behavior charts, I am hopeful to keep parents informed of their student’s behavior in the classroom on a daily basis. Together we can work on any issues students seem to be dealing with.
On Friday, these charts will be sent home along with returned papers. These charts must be signed and returned by the following Monday. If the student does not return this sheet, they will not be able to participate in recess that day. It is imperative that we all work together to make this a successful year! |
