Santa Rosa Elementary School

Welcome Fifth Grade Students and Families

Updated Information—2/26/2009

Dear 5th Grade Parents:

As we quickly approach the end of the year, it is important that we continue to encourage our children to make smart choices.  Many of our 5th grade students have begun to act out, and although we understand their excitement for middle school, it is necessary that they maintain positive relationships, behavior and study habits.

Next year will be an eye opening experience for all students; new school, new teachers, and new friends.  Building a solid foundation now is so important in helping them through any obstacles they may encounter throughout the rest of their schooling.  It is our jobs, as parents and educators, to model and encourage these positive behaviors.

We ask of you to help make the end of the year as successful as possible, by continuing to be involved in your students’ schooling. As their teacher, I am excited for them to embark on a new adventure into middle school, but I would like to do all I can to make sure they maintain their positive choices.  Thank you for all of your continued support.

Note To My Students:

Welcome to 5th Grade!

Please remember to get your homework agendas signed every night!  All homework must completed prior to coming to class in the morning.  Time will not be given to finish at the beginning of class.

Tardies are not tolerated!  You MUST be on time to class each day. 5th grade is a very fast paced environment and we all need to work together to reach our goals.  Missing even 5 minutes could put you behind!
