Tony Montana. Any other name is just a name. As a cuban refugee hoodlum, Montana (Pacino) rises to the top of the Miami based cocaine empire. Soon he is toppled by his own demons. This is probably the most popular gangster film ever. It tells of the American dream. I liked the movie overall because of the intense dramatics and how an immigrant can overcome poverty and turn it into prosperity. Tony Montana is a look back at our own heritages and how they overcame certain obstacles. Pretty gory too. |
