Based on the gangster life of Henry Hill, and adapted from Pileggi's Wiseguy novel, this graphic account of 'the life' is one of the best. With many memorable quotes such as "Do I make you laugh?", and "Fuck you,pay me!", and an excellent soundtrack to boot, it's no wonder that it received countless nominations and awards. Joe Pesci received the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his portrayal of the explosive Tommy DeVito.
This film is a must see. If I could afford it, I would buy a DVD copy for everyone I know. |
