(Reviews - mostly of comics, but other items, too - somewhat old, recent and new)

(I receive my comics via a mail order service, so even the "new" reviews will almost always be at least a couple weeks - and more likely than not one issue behnd on the monthlies - later than when the comics came out. But, hey... I get a better discount than I would locally, and don't have to pay tax on them. If I can manage to just be a single issue behind in these reviews, well, that I'll be happy with. These mixed reviews/overviews/critiques are generally adapted from material appearing in my Legends zine, Comic Book Crossroads. I'm putting an emphasis on getting this section back up to speed, though, after months and more of neglect. We'll see how it works out. ---MJN  March 3, 2002)
