With Mr.
Belvedere in charge of the household, he manages to convince the family
to go to church. When informed of this fact, George grumbles and causes
Wesley to say, "It's not Easter?!" Upon their return, Mr. Belvedere interests
Wesley in taking up ballet, while George is confident that Wesley will
play football.
With the whole family keeping the secret from George, who is so proud of
his son going into sports, Wesley is found out when his dancing shoes are
found by George. At first George is livid and blames Mr. Belvedere
for it. However, he proves to be more understanding than anticipated and
agrees to watch his son at his first recital. Everybody is impressed, including
George who tells off a heckler in the audience when he makes fun of Wesley
and calls him "fruit loop".
That night as George commiserates over what a great football player he
could have been, Mr. Belvedere starts up another nerve-wracking session
playing his bassoon.

This is the first time focus was given to one
of the peculiarities of the Owens household, that being the stairway of
clocks all telling different times. Throughout the series this has become
a fixture and hasn't been paid much notice, except by some guests who have
become confused upon seeing it. |
