| One of the major parts of technology education involves providing adequate training so that the tools provided can be implemented in the most effective manner. One of the most common mishaps in technology education is when a teacher is provided with a tool without the guidance and support to go along with it. Technology Facilitators are the essential piece of this puzzle that is missing for these teachers. It is the facilitator's job to ensure that the teachers are properly guided and supported to implement these technology tools in the most effective way. In the article critique, it is discussed how there is an ongoing divide between students and teachers, specifically with the use of the Internet. It is the Technology Facilitator's responsibility to ensure that this gap does not widen any further. The first artifact outlines how technology can effectively be implemented into the classroom following a few simple guidelines. The second artifact is an example of how a technology tool, such as digital stories, can be effectively implemented into a science unit. Both artifacts display the role of the Technology Facilitator, who is responsible for giving the teachers the proper instruction and tools for the benefit of the students. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
