Director Peter Jackson�s action/ fantasy, The Two Towers, is quickly gaining popular and critical success. The motion picture is based on the second book of J.R.R. Tolkien�s novel, The Lord of the Rings, and Jackson magnificently brings Tolkien�s text to life. A great cast led by Viggo Motrenson, Elijah Wood, and Ian McKellen find danger and adventure on their way to Mount Doom to destroy a magical ring. The movie recreates the fictional and beautiful setting of Middle Earth. Thrilling action, romance, and fantacy make up this film of epic proportions. Three hours of non-stop action only leaves the audience anxious for the completion of the trilogy.
There were only a few weaknesses in The Two Towers. Many different stories were alternating the scenes in the movie leaving some viewers confused at times. Also, as the second part of a trilogy, it had no real starting and ending points adding to some of the confusion.
