The first meeting was held. The following rules changes were agreed to.
- All spins will be off track - Clearing the way for the rest of the field.
- Multiple off rack spun cars move in the sequence they have existed the
track. - Just adding clearity as it may happen more often.
- Off track spun cars move after on track cars. - No change
- The current Forced passing procedure is kept. A change will be forthcoming
in the damage if the farce passing fails.
- Only in the first turn is there free force passing. - Make pushing
through the front harder.
- On circuits with two lanes wide at the Start/Finish there will be an extra
lane on the outside for the first lap. This lane ends before the first corner.
- The pole sitter chooses the for all cars in the pole row. Inside/Outside
or middle. The second place car chooses the remaining lane (any) for the other
cars.
- No more quickpit stops.
- Hot/Cold tyres are kept for the 99/00 season.
- There are still two tyre manufacturers (GoodMonth and BridgeRock)
- The reliabilty table propossed by Jeff August is accepted. This table
makes reliabilty rolls more like with 4 or more golds and less likely with
3 or less. A zero reliability is now going to need a 4 or less to successfully
push the table.
- Agreed on a 12 race season to run from Mid Sept to Late May. Not to include
holidays - Inc Labor day and Memorial day.
- Agreed on reducing the number of races that count from 10 to 9 for the
driver championship.
- Next meeting is June 2 and the top topic will be changes to the team
and drivers build tables (prep points and teams and alot of other
things may get effected by this).
The first race is September 12, see you on the grid! -->
