Bernoulli Priniciplc

Home

Bernoulli's principle is one of the most common prinicples, because we can see it everyday. It is the principle behind atomizer, spray guns and planes. The priniciple states that in a flowing liquid or gas, the pressure is least where the speed is greatest and viceversa. Bernoulli's equation for this is:

                 .    P + 1pv^2 +pgy  = constant
                            2

The sum of the pressure (P) and energy of motion per unit volume of fluid(kinetic) and gravitional potential energy per unit volume is equal to a constant. This is responisble for the deflection of the baseball.  See Diagram.
