Motherhand Shiatsu is a form of shiatsu geared especially for working with family members and friends. It is an especially gentle,
respectful way of working that encourages and augments the energy of kinship that already exists between giver and receiver. This energy of kinship, called Supplemental Fire, is an energy that keeps us bound together as family, as a community. It protects us from external intrusions and strengthens our commitment to each other as valuable, honorable citizens of the world. Motherhand shiatsu utilizes this very vibrant source of energy by emphasizing rather than diminishing the power of healing that exists between people who love each other, as in family members, and to no less an important degree, among friends and community members who have shared interests in keeping each other healthy, happy and spiritually contented with life.
