Have you ever felt down and out? Has having your computer, your printer, or your cellphone break make you want to tear your hair out?
Well according to my research and some common sense I have come to the conclusion that technology can be the cause of mild depression.
Think about it, how many times have you said something simply because the person you were talking to wasn't in front of you, say on the phone, or through instant messaging?
This is what is known as disassociation. When one looses touch with reality, this also takes place after traumatic incidents, and it is my belief that the body interperets all disassociation in a similiar way, thus causing depression and a feeling of being alone when one relies too heavily on technology. |
