General InformationThe teaching of the Christian faith shall be the background for all that takes place during the camp experience. Underlying this position is faith in God and belief in Jesus Christ. The Holy Scripture is the basis for understanding more about God, God's call, and God's love through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible is the basic resource for daily living and is the basic resource for the camp experience. Camping provides another opportunity to enrich life - to know one as a real person in relationship with God, with other persons, and with the natural world. The youth ministry of the Mid-States Region of the Moravian Church of North America encompasses the congregations in Illinois, Indiana, lower Michigan, and Ohio. The Middle States region spans the Eastern and Western Districts. The Middle States Ministries Committee (MSMC) is the entity which oversees the ministry programs of the Mid-States region and is accountable to each district's Christian Education Commissions. Camper's ResponsibilitiesAs disciples of Christ living in Christian Community, campers are expected to honor others, and respect the camp setting. Before registering for camp, each camper should read the camp philosophy as presented on each camp's registration and agree to abide by its terms. Health FormA health form must be filled out for each event. Make sure you get the proper health form when you get the registration form for the event. Both should be available at New Hope Community Church and other participating Moravian churches. StaffMembers of the events' staffs are volunteers from Moravian congregations throughout the Mid-States. Check with Pastor Jason if you would like to volunteer for any of the events.
