After a 5-hour delay and a 10-hour flight, I finally checked into my hotel around midnight. Got a chance to test out my Catalan with the taxi driver who of course ... didn't speak Catalan. Ah well, add one Spanish phrasebook to my shopping list.
The front desk guys were pretty cool and hooked me up near the top of the building on the 6th floor. My room was pretty crappy with a lumpy bed and paper thin walls, which I soon found out listening to my "bunny rabbit" neighbors. The bathroom across the hall had a hand-held with very weak water pressure so taking a shower was good times! Doncha just love Europe?!?
