Many mothers in our area face the challenges of pregnancy and birth without emotional or financial support, without health insurance, sometimes without reliable transportation or even a home. Some are in domestic violence shelters, some are living with family members or friends. Following the creed of DONA, "A Doula for Every Woman", I provide my services free of charge to these women.

Please consider supporting this work and helping to provide needed materials and services for mothers in need in our area. You can help in the following ways:

1. Donations of books, magazines or videos on the subjects of pregnancy, birth, parenting, or breastfeeding. Often, friends or coworkers will have these materials laying about unused in the home long after the birth of their own children. I would be glad to meet you to pick up any materials to save you shipping costs.

2. Donations of maternity, nursing or infant clothing, along with infant care items such as slings, carriers, diapers, diaper creme, changing pads, swaddling blankets, etc. As with books, I will gladly meet you to pick these items up.

3. Donations via
PayPal. Please make all payments using the emai address [email protected].

4. Purchase from the Wish List.
Here is a list of items I am currently seeking from Childbirth Graphics to aid in my ability to support mothers:

Penny Simkin's Road Map of Labor
Signs of Labor Tear Pad
The Labor Progress Handbook
Labor Support: A Comfort Guide Video
Labor Progress Puzzle
Positions for Laboring Out of Bed Tear Pad
Knitted Uterus Model
Labor and Birth Checklist Tear Pad

(If you or someone you know is pregnant and in crisis, see the
Pregnancy Resources page for help in your area)
